TEXAS HOLD'EM!!!
Tournament Overview
The Game
The game of
Texas Hold'em has been around for a while but because of the sudden urge to
televise tournaments, it has recently become the hottest card game in town.
Even thought there are a number of different strategies involved in playing
the game, it's really one of the easiest forms of poker one can play.
Simply put, each player receives two down cards and can combine them with
five community cards (shared by all players) in order to form their best
five card hand. There are a few more details involved in the game but
they are very easy to teach. So even if you haven't played Texas
Hold'em before, you can be a seasoned pro after just a few hands.
The Tournaments
Because of the popularity of Texas Hold'em, we have decided
to put together tournament packages small enough for 8 people or large
enough for 100 people. Now, these tournaments are a little different
than our "casino night" events. Unlike the casino nights where anybody
can play at any table at anytime, the Texas Hold'em tournaments require a
little more organization. First of all, we receive the exact number of
players ahead of time which will help us decide how many tables we will need
for the event. We then assign those players a seat position at one of
the tables. Once everyone is seated the tournament begins and doesn't
end until we have a grand champion. The tournaments can last anywhere
from 3 hours up to 6 hours (our maximum time limit) but we do have some of
those secret ways to help cater to your time needs.
The Equipment
We will provide everything you need for your Texas Hold'em
event. The Tables for Texas Hold'em are a little different than your
normal octagon shaped poker tables. Our oval shaped tables are
approximately 82" in length and can sit 8-10 people. The tables have a
professional looking, padded felt on top and are surrounded by a padded arm
rest for those players needing a little help during those longer
tournaments. The Chips are a heavy duty clay style chips that are
perfect for those players who want to show off their chip shuffling skills.
We also will provide the Cards, Dealer Chips, and Blind Markers so that all
you need to bring along is your professional looking "poker face" in order
to enjoy a night of Texas Hold'em.
The Dealers
Dealers are not required at our Texas Hold'em tournaments
but they are highly recommended. If requested we will provide you with
a dealer at each table to help with the organization of the event and to
also help teach some of the players who might not be as familiar to the game
as they would like. The dealers will be dressed in your requested
(usually black pants and a white polo) and will have the outgoing and
professional attitude we require for our staff.
The Cost
The cost for our tournaments is based on three criteria. First, the
number of tables you need. Second, the number of dealers you need.
Finally, the number of hours you want the tournament to last. Because
we pay our dealers on a 3 hour minimum, there is no price difference
between a 1 hour and a 3 hour event.
